1 | E-50:- During DI/DR on Port Main Engine exhaust flap system it has observed that on lagging on the exhaust trunking is perished due to fair wear and tear. Same is cause to increase in temperature of trunking and exhaust flap system. Lagging to be renewed as per sample. In way jobs includes as follows:- (a) Exhaust trunking outer aluminum protection to be renewed entirely including the upper and lower area. (b) The entire trunking to be renewed and cleaned for removal of glue and other debris. (c) The trunking to be checked for any hot spots and if found, same to be cleared by proper welding and checked for leak proof. (d) The surface of the trunking to be prepared for applying adhesive material for trunking which includes buffing the surface for holding of adhesive material. (e) Lagging to be applied on top of trunking after the coating of adhesive material followed by asbestos coating for proper heat insulation. 03 roll of lagging to be placed for proper heat insulation intermediate heat to be placed for provided for grip lagging. (f) After the lagging procedure is over the entire trunking including the bents to be provided with aluminum sheet insulation for proper protection from heat. Exhaust flap system to be for nil obstruction. Any other additional job including brazing, metal renewal of trunking and additional material to be considered and carried out accordingly. All in way jobs to be carried out and proved for satisfactory operation. e) All other in way job to be included for proper completion of job including refitting and trials of the system. | 1.000 | Nos |
2 | E-68:-Centre waterjet hydraulic power pack hydraulic line passing from water jet compartment to aft engine room gear box PTO line is showing hydraulic oil leakage at bulkhead joint and at PTO line and not holding the requisite pressure in system. During DI/DR by ship staff it was observed that hydraulic line is observed to be having multiple cracks due to fair wear and tear. Further check was carried out and observed that the bulkhead joint thread and its bolt is not withstanding the pressure due to damage in thread and bolt not holding the position. The hydraulic line to be dismantled and repaired/ renewed for operationalizing the water jet on priority. In way job includes: (a) Removal of all system pipeline passing through and above the hydraulic pipeline for smooth removal of hydraulic power pack system. Same needed to be identified and located for easy dismantling and refitting. (b) Hydraulic oil from the system to be drained and hydraulic Pipeline (Material: SS seamless) to be removed and pressure tested at working pressure for one hour and observed the leakage. If the leakage observed is 50% and above wrt the length of the hydraulic pipeline the entire line is to be renewed. If renewed the hydraulic line to be checked for its contour and length from hydraulic power pack to PTO pump and the thread along with match in bolt for bulkhead connection of hydraulic line. SS welding to be carried out in positions where bend in line is not possible. (c) Post Repair/ Renewal of hydraulic pipeline same to be assembled in workshop and pressure tested with system pressure and 1.5 times to check, if pressure is withstanding the system to be dismantled and moved onboard. Dye penetration test to be carried out during pressure testing in order to ensure no leakage is present. (d) Post all the checks the hydraulic line is to be refitted and hydraulic system to be completed. Hydraulic oil to be refilled and the system to be checked in cold conditions. Engines to be started and a clutched in trials to be carried out for observing the system working pressure is being withstood. (e) All other in way job other than mentioned above to be included for proper completion of job including brazing, threading, shearing cold/hot bending to be carried out and system to be probed for satisfactory operation. | 1.000 | Nos |
