| 2 | Opening of expansion joint, reprofiling the joints with epoxy mortar and placing the backer rod: Opening and cleaning the expansion joint to a minimum depth of 100 mm and make it free from any loose particles, debris, previous waterproofing materials and expansion joint sealants, etc., providing and Applying three component, medium flow, moisture insensitive, high strength, shrinkage compensated epoxy mortar that achieves compressive strength minimum of 45 MPa at 7 days and capable of applying at large undulations on the concrete surface in single layer such as Relinforce EP mortar of Reliance Industries or Nitomortar S of Fosroc or equivalent, to the prepared concrete area for thickness up to 50mm, after applying epoxy resin based bonding coat as per manufacturers specification if recommended, before the bonding agent becomes tack free, initially by hand and finally finishing the same with trowel carefully compacting the same to bring it in line with the existing concrete surface along the expansion joint at all heights, where the thickness of application is less than 50 mm as per specification. Installation of backer rod at 25 to 50 mm depth (top to top) for the full length of the expansion joint.
